Early everyone was allowed to play the Boston marathon race but now they have set an standard for the race and the cutoff is out now.
Early there was no criteria for entering marathon but with 2024 marathon race the participants had to run 5:29 before the qualifying time.
Total 30,000 runners will be able to participate in the contest.
The qualification time for the race has been completed and the race will take place on April 15, 2024.
Boston Marathon Qualification
The cutoff news was out by the association managing the Boston marathon event which are (B.A.A). They announced that the cutoff time for the race is 5:29.
The participants may need to run faster than their usual running to get qualified and get opportunity to participate in the 2024 Boston marathon.
This time the field size is for 30,000 runners in 2021 it was of 20,000 and there was no such cutoff time too that year.
The players have been selected and out of 30,000 runners 8,000 will be running for charity purposes.
During the pandemic period there were no such events taking place and now after the pandemic people are highly excited to participate in events like the Boston Marathon.
Boston Marathon Qualification Registration Time Period
The registration period for the event ended on 15 September 2023.
The president of the BAA announced that almost 33,000 participants managed to get the qualifying times. Also he mentioned that they would let participate contestants as per the capacity of the race.
